3D Printer Projects

Coaxial Rest Design and Development

It seems that Coaxial Rests are very much a must have for F-Class and benchrest. In order to understand them and how they work I set about trying to make one using the 3d printer.

I was surprised at how easy they are to make and how sturdy they can be despite being made from plastic.

Revision 3 (I skipped 2)

Featuring the smoothness and strength of a linear rail. The smoothness of proper steel bearings.

A flipped vertical axis which to me just feels more natural. A horizontal axis that isn't flipped (i'm proud of that one).

Core strength maintained and very cheap to construct. Hold on though. Yes this works but there are more changes needed to make it even better. See the video on my youtube channel (or embedded below) for more information and don't forget to check out the MRBCRC EBC's

Sincere apologies for the lack of parts list.

Part 2

Revision 1

The design includes plastic bearings and is configured to be attached to the top of a Caldwell Rock Jr.

STL files aren't available because any implementation will require modification for the handle, for the rest base and for the sand bag base.
